The Boston Pearl Foundation and The Psi Omega Chapter of
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®
are accepting applications for their

2023-2024 Tea Rose Program

in association with the Precious Pearls Debutante Cotillion

The Tea Rose Girls’ Program is a compliment to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority - Precious Pearls Debutante Cotillion.

Young girls in 1st through 5th grade are eligible to participate in this program. The Tea Rose girls are invited to participate in educational and fun classes and activities where they are introduced to different skills and cultural activities. These take place during the winter and spring months (December through May) leading up to the cotillion ball in June. In years past, girls have had fun learning more about cooking, etiquette, sewing, urban farming, etc. They even took a trip to the National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture. Each year is different, and activities will depend upon the availability of speakers, etc. A list of this year’s classes and activities will be sent out after your child is accepted into the program.

The Debutante Program helps to raise funds for educational scholarships and charity programs. Our sorority and community members expend much time, money, and energy preparing excellent experiences for the Tea Rose girls. Therefore, the Tea Rose Program has a non-refundable application fee to help cover some of the expenses for materials and activities.
